Myllykoski Paper markets, develops and manufactures high-quality wood-containing publication papers profitably, efficiently and competitively. Our products are uncoated SC papers and coated MWC papers for rotogravure and offset printing of magazines, catalogues, advertising inserts and brochures. Of Myllykoski Paper's over 500 000 t/a production 90 per cent is exported. The main markets are Europe, but some paper is also exported to the USA, the Far East and Africa. In 2007 net sales were EURÂ 307million.
Myllykoski corporate philosophy is to create innovative solutions and products in cooperation with the customers. Especially for product development, this is the guiding principle. Good examples of close customer cooperation are the uncoated publication paper MY PLUS and MY GOLD, a top-brightness SC paper that has become the benchmark among SC grades.
The mill's history goes back more than 100 years. Groundwood pulp for paper manufacture has been produced at Myllykoski on the bank of the River Kymijoki since 1892, and the first paper machines arrived at the very beginning of the 20th century.
The company now employs about 550 people.
