Myllykoski Paper started out as an independent company at the end of 1995 as a spin-off from the international Myllykoski Group. The parent company is Myllykoski Corporation with a 65% share and M-real Corporation owns the remaining 35%.

As a subsidiary of the international Myllykoski Corporation, Myllykoski Paper has a strong backing. Products of the whole Myllykoski are sold through the Myllykoski Sales Network.
