Myllykoski Paper's environmental objectives and targets

The executive management group of Myllykoski Paper sets annual environmental targets based on the strategy. The environmental action programme sets the following objectives for the year 2010:

• To take into account the environmental demands of customers and other interest group
• To increase the amount of certified fibre
• To minimise emissions due to disturbances
• To improve the mill's water balance 

The targets set for 2010 are among other things:

• Identifying and meeting new customer demands
• Updating of carbon footprint calculation and environmental reporting
• Increasing the amount of fibre certified under the FSC and PEFC schemes
• Meet environmental permit obligations
• Management of odour
• Further development of oil management
• Reducing wastewater volume
• Preparation for stricter permit conditions
• Wastewater emission targets
