Myllykoski Paper's environmental objectives and targets

The executive management group of Myllykoski Paper sets annual environmental targets based on the strategy. The environmental action programme sets the following objectives for the year 2008:

• To identify the environmental demands of customers and markets
  
• To make environmental issues and the company's impact on society an integral part of all operations
  
• To improveof process management and water utilisation

The targets set for 2008 are among other things:

• Reduction of waste water discharges
  
• Minimizing the nutrient discharges
  
• Reduction of waste water sludge
  
• Increase of waste utilisation
  
• Odour management
• Better management of drain- and fieldwater
  
• Improvements of oil management
