Myllykoski to increase newsprint prices

With the recent decreases in capacity and the healthy demand in newsprint Myllykoski is aiming to increase the newsprint prices. Sverre Norrgard, CEO of Myllykoski, says that the company is aiming for prices above Euro 600 for next year. The decreases in capacity so far have been effective and the latest capacity shut downs have not yet fully reached the market.

Myllykoski has increased its efforts outside Europe to serve the growth of newsprint demand in export markets.

Myllykoski will continue with its policy of production curtailments for all grades, when necessary, in the 4th quarter as already done in the 3rd quarter to follow changes in demand and stock positions.
